Recipe for Palak Paneer
(Cottage cheese cooked in spinach gravy)


Ingredients
Palak (Spinach) - 1 bunch
Paneer (Cottage cheese) - 250gm
Onion- 1 big roughly chopped
Tomato- 1 big roughly chopped
Ginger garlic keema- 2 tsp
Green chillies- 2pcs roughly chopped
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Garam Masala powder- 1tbsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1tbsp
Kasturi methi- 1tbsp
Salt- as per taste
Fresh Cream- 2 tbsp
Oil- 3 tbsp

Method
1.       Wash the palak (spinach leaves) nicely under running water.
2.       Boil the palak till it becomes tender.
3.       Wash the boiled palak under cold water and blend it in the mixer into a smooth paste.
4.       Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan. Put ginger garlic keema in it. Fry for half a minute. Put onion and green chillies. Fry until it turns golden in colour.
5.       Put tomato and cook till it gets tender on a medium flame.
6.       Now put cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and palak paste. Cook this for 5 minutes on medium flame, till the oil separates.
7.       Put the paneer, 1tbsp oil, kasturi methi powder, garam masala powder and cream. Cover it with a lid and cook for 3 minutes.
9.       Serve hot with roti, naan, paratha.
